Dissabling traction control

There have been previous postings regarding traction control , and I gather it is not possible to turn it off fully.
Then how does the commercially available Renntech traction control switch work (ASR defeat switch), and which wires does it cut in to?

If you look under the "Hot-Rods" section on the main menu, there is a thread called DIY ASR Defeat. Check that out!! It worked on my SL600, and it hauls ass. It will chirp the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts...

Be careful though, its too easy to break traction without it.
