Proper method to bleed cooling sytem....1983 SL

My temp gauge spikes from time to time from 90 to 105 degrees C, and I do feel the heater temp fluctuating as if there are air bubbles in my cooling system.

New thermostat/gasket, however still the same issue. What is the proper method for bleeding air out of the cooling system with the alloy engined 107's?

Thanks!
