My Tonneau lid won't lock on my 380sl
The tonneau lid (also known as the storage compartment lid for the convertible top) on my 380SL won't lock on the drivers side when I close it. I suspect the solution is I have to move the catch over slightly. Does anybody know of any tricks to performing this task other than hit and miss?

What year model is your car? if it is a R129 chasis like mine it only has a single lock on the passenger side US.

If it is a R107, there is a slotted adjustment on the latch in the compartment. Don't know of any way other than move it a bit, then try it. If there is not enough adjustment, you can always place a washer between the latch finger that attaches to the lid and the lid to make the finger stick down further.
