Question Replacing 1986 107 Grar shift knob

I would like to replace my leather coverd one with a wood one that has the MB crest. What is the procedure? At the same time I would like to replace the cracked rubber boot under the shift gate. Is this boot available?

So farr all of your that have answered all of my formar requests were righ on and I am really enjoying my 107. Thanks, monty

It's been a few years, but to replace the gear shift knob, you have to remove the wood console piece. The steps to do that are in the archives numerous times. Once the wood console piece is off, you remove either two or four screws on the top of the gear shift mechanism and you can lift the top of it enough to reach a wrench down inside to loosen the nut to remove the gear shift lever.
