:) Please send your DIY to webmaster@peachparts.com
"Bill" will post it ASAP. :)

Hunter,
I am new to this forum but have been at benzworld for a year. I just fixed my
leak this last Saturday. I have good pics of the fix as well as instructions. If
you give me your email I will send them to you. I tried to post the pics even
after downsizing and still won't upload. I would love for you to sticky this
since it is a common problem. Let me know and give me your email and I will send
them to you.

Have a great day

Beautiful beast. If anyone would like some high res pics posted, I would be more than happy to help you get them up. All you have to do is email them to me @ justinwrock (at) gmail.com.

And welcome to the mercedesshop.com family. We are always all happy to help you. :)

I have sent the pictures of the fix to be posted in the wiki. If anybody has some pics of the blower motor fix I would like to have those. Mine has come loose and sounds horrible at high speeds. Bobterry sent me a pdf file but I would rather have pics or instructions.

Thats an excellent write up. I brought the SL600 in for service at the dealer, and as we put the top up to park it at the dealer, one of those sprung a leak. The dealer charges $1300 to fix those cylinders. Thank you for writing that DIY article, it will save people tons...

Blower repair

I had this happen on my wifes SL320. I know this will sound kind of hoaky but I actually fixed it with "baling wire" (actually some regular mechaics wire was what it was. I don't have any pictures but I used the wire to tie the broken parts back together on the motor. It has been three years and still works like a champ!! No Vibration!!
I have slept many times since then so things are not real clear but I did it with the blower in the car. Which was a little tricky but if your patient and have a long nose pair of pliers it can be done.
