instrument problems
Hello everyone....
hopefully someone here can help me out with this one. I have a 1991 500SL and the problem is that the instrument cluster nothing works anymore. the tach doesnt move, the speed doesnt work, my MPG doesnt work anymore either...the lights function properly though. I have checked the fuse panel in all 3 places, under the hood in both places, and in the back in the trunk...if anyone has any ideas please let me know!! Thanks Chris

Hi: I see you are new here. Welcome. There has been quite a bit of discussion on this forum about instrument cluster "issues". It could be just fuse corosion or something far more expensive. There are places other than the MB dealer where the clusters are repaired. You need to do a forum search... You'll find out how to remove the cluster safely; some suggested DIY repairs; and several references and experiences others have had with repair shops. Seach "instrument cluster failure".
