Serge on cruise

Been reading a lot of lot about cruise control problems but never ever came across the on i have. Trouble is i hardly ever drive it but it seems sometimes the cruise works and when i have to touch the brakes to kick it off i can;t get it to rengage, i can hold down the lever and have her speed up but she won't stay put where i want it and if i do get it set when i go down a hill man does she serge big time and hesitate so if i have some one with me i won't use the cruise to have it hestate the way it does cause we really don't want any one to know there's some thing wrong with our Benz now do we guys Louis
