Hey Guys...I would like to install a ignition kill-switch on my 380sl!!! This has proven VERY effective on my other vehicles. Any input on were to make the switch connection on bosch ignition systems to avoid problems. Thanks All,

Hey friend, there is a little device available through Bekkers or many automotive shops that disconnects your battery by interrupting the cable at the positive post.

A fused bypass wire allows for continued operation of alarms, clocks, etc., but any attempt to start the car blows the fuse and kills all power.

Best of all, the piece that reconnects your battery cable is safely in your pocket. Thirty bucks, thats all!

Dean,

Does this switch allow you access from inside the vehicle or do you have to pop the hood every time you park in a questionable area?

TIA

Ross, it's installed right on the positive battery post so you have to go into the trunk.

One advantage, though, is that a thief won't typically look there and even if they did, without the removable knob the battery won't work.

Can't hurt, I'm ordering one for the 500E.
