Exhaust Manifold

I have a 73 450 Sl. Anyone know of my options for getting a replacement exhaust manifold (right). Mine's cracked.

Yes. They are cast iron. Consult your friendly local welder for more information.

For example: http://www.muggyweld.com/cummins.html

after it is welded it will need to be milled for straightness.

good luck

Thanks for the help

I got it coming from Potomac German and my local pipe bender/custom shop is going to get it in. I will then have a flower part, but I won't have to bother with the welding. btw: my custom exhaust guy says welding is a bad idea.

course not. when he can custom weld you one.

but seriously no reason it cannot be welded if you have the right equipment and materials.

a cast manifold will be still functioning long after a tube header has rusted away... unless the tubes are stainless.

if you get the tube thing welded up save the broken header so you can use it in five years or so.

Not a tube job

Getting a salvage manifold, uncracked.
