judson supercharger for 190SL
I found a guy in my town who has a supercharger and manifold setup for a 190SL. That I am thinking about buying for my 1958 190SL. He said he is open to offers. What is it worth? it looks to be in very good condition. It comes with the oiler and some paperwork.

If the price is right, it's a great thing to have along with the car.
There was a Judson steup with oiler, hardware and pulleys on ePray a few months ago. Opening bid was $1500, and no one bid. I was tempted to bid on it for my '61 190SL, but I figure that the poor motor only has three main bearings, so why tempt fate. I have also read that detonation is a issue with the Judsons, causing holed pistons. Don't get me wrong, I would still love to have a Judson just because, but I don't know if I would go through all of the modifications needed to properly hook one up. 190SL models have enough issues with brakes and the Solex carbs. IMHO. |
