1992 500 sl ck engine light?
Yesterday the ck engine light came on, the car runs great. The temp gauge does not appear to work great. Does a malfunction temp sending unit could cause a ck engine light?
How do you check codes on these beast?

No, a bad temperature sending unit shouldn't trigger a CE light. Do you have a 16 pin diagnostic pin? If so it should have a pushbutton with LED, in which case you can pull the codes yourself. Try a search - there's all kinds of information on reading codes as well as the code lists. If you don't have the pushbutton LED you can build the code reader and read the codes.
