You need a complete kit - which is expensive to do properly. The Xenon headlights can be found on eBay from time to time - bear in mind you'll need to check the loom rating and fuses for the additional current for the ballast.
Probably not worth doing IMO. |

Xenon lights
I purchased a 91 500SL in Nov 96, and am probably having the same thought process as yourself; that being "these lights are really bad, and maybe even dangerous at night".
I have looked at and thought about the Xenon conversion. While it would look and perform very well, I don't think it is worth the $1200-$1500 price tag. What I am planning to do in the spring is install a euro light conversion. Adsit and some other MB catalogs have them and looks like can be done for $400-$600. Much simpler conversion, and for what I have heard, very good performance. My 2 cents. Matt |
