On my 96 (with a 5 speed electronic transmission), I have a W/S switch, which I belive stands for Winter/Summer. In W mode it starts in second in S mode it starts in first. Do you have such a switch.

My 93 - 4 speed - the switch is labelled E = Economic (starts in 2nd) and S = Sport (starts in 1st).
