Unhappy 1985 380sl 107 Ignition control Module.

I replaced my old type ICM with a new digital unit from Bosch 3 months ago. and now I have to replace it again. This time under warranty. But the question is, can I expect this one to malfunction as well ? Why would Bosch sell these things if they are not really compatible with these older cars???

To my own question I reply 2 months later.

YES!!! I had to replace it again. The new Bosch ICM did not last much longer then the first. I think maybe it's a heat problem for the digital unit ???

You did use the electrical paste between the unit and the body? Several posts on this.
