Hard starting when hot

Hi,

My 1983 380sl starts up fine but after driving for awhile it restarts very hard. It cranks for a few seconds and then sputters a bit and I have to give it gas and then idles irregularly.

The car just has been tuned up including new filters. I also installed a new fuel pump and filter>

Any suggestions?

sounds like fuel accumulator....located underneath in rear by fuel filter. Search and you will find several posts about this. Easy to install and costs about $25-35.00?

I think I paid $80 for mine, but it fixed the hard start issue, and helped the idle smooth out.
