O2 Sensor in 380SL
I just removed the instrument cluster on my 1985 380SL to replace one of the bulbs and found the bulb to the O2 sensor was also missing. I replaced this bulb and now it is lit, seeming to indicate that the O2 probe should be changed. I recently purchased this car, and it has 123K miles. I checked my MB 107 CD to find out what to change, and the CD states that the tach sends a signal at 30,000 miles that turns on the 02 light indicator. The manual says the 02 sensor must be changed at this point, and that you should "make the warning device inoperative by removing the bulb." Does this mean that you permanently remove the warning light bulb for the 02 after the first replacement? Thanks.

That is correct. There is no way to "reset" the light. Replace the senor, pull the bulb and you will be fine.

O2 Sensor in 380SL
Thanks, Tim. Does this also mean that the 02 sensor should be replaced every 30K?
