Climate Control Interior Temp Sense

The other day I though my AC was working overtime on Auto. As is turned out it is fine. However, at the time I started to wonder where the interior temperature sensor is located. Is it integral in the controler or located elsewhere?

The sensor is located in the over-head map light assembly. You can easily check it by putting your control module in diagnostic mode and reading the temperature value the sensor is sending to the controller. If you use the search feature here or at benzworld.org, then I think you will find the detailed procedure for this diagnostic mode. And of course, it is described in the R129 Tech DVD.

Thanks, Bob. The position of the sensor and my black car tells me that is probably why it comes on so strong for so long. It needs to cool down. I found your Feb 2004 post on 90-96 CC Diagnostics. I will give it a shot just for the heck of it.
