560SL Running Light Stays ON

All of a sudden the driverside running lights stay ON even if I stut-off the car and turn the switch OFF. Also, I cannot get the running lights ON for the passenger side by using the switch. When the headlights are on therunning lights are on BOTH sides are ON. HELP, is this another grounding issue or a trick by MB!

maybe the switch is defective

Could this also be a problem with the External Lamp Detection system or bad or "old" lamps or possibly the fuses?
