Need Help with replacing antenna grommet

Hi -

Can someone please tell me the trick in replacing the rubber grommet for the antenna? I have tried to get that thing around the hole and it will not go through!

I just replaced mine...from inside the trunk. Took the antenna power box loose, put the grommet in from underneath and then pushed the antenna back through the grommet....reattached the antenna, etc.

Not an easy task.

Yeah, tried that. It will not go through, is there a trick to it?

Make sure there are no sharp edges on the inside of the hole. Grease the grommet up with silicone oil. Force it through. I did mine that way.
