Does anyone out there know where I can buy the PROPER set of dash strips for my car? All the ones available out there have the center strip with long slots for vent handles & the center strip on my car has 3 switches. I've already replaced most all of the interior & need this set to finish her off.

I changed the zebrano wood in my car to burl and the kit came the same way. It's designed to be universal. They provide enough dash wood strip to cover all the types of dash, and when you cut it to fit around the switches there's enough to cover no matter which dash you've got. I finally cleaned off my work bench and threw out all the excess pieces of burl dash wood.

Be careful when you cut the wood. It's easy to crack it. I used a large pair of tin snips and found that cutting quickly is better than cutting slowly. I got less cracking of the veneer and finish.

Thanks for the response. I'll have to lay it all out & look closer for size up. Its just that the lever slots are horizontal are long & it appeared even if I cut to fit there wouldn't be enough material to fully cover the center strip. These are metal backed (aluminum?) with a VERY THIN wood piece. Shouldn't be any prob cutting clean if whats left after trimming will cover the center strip. Just have to do the math & be sure before cutting of course.
