Thanks for the link. I tried getting in touch with this guy and I haven't heard back from him. I guess he either doesn't have one or is not interested in getting money.

here is a new one for $74 -- kind of high for a piece of molding, but its an option.

Thanks for the link. That would look too nice and out of place on this car. The rest of the molding is original and in ok condition, not mint.

If you can actually get one at that price shown in the new parts link, I would be surprised...that's cheaper than even w/a dealer discount, and AFAIK this is a dealer-only part.

I know the guy who is selling those used parts and he is a good guy, but he may be very busy and/or may be interested in selling sets only.

If you don't replace it all (or at least one side), I'd look for a good used one. Otherwise the rest of it will look bad. When these get bad, the rubber gets hard and gets a wrinkly "skin" on it. I've had SOME success with wet sanding with 320/220/400 wetordri under near-boiling water to remove the dead rubber. You need to be extremely careful not to mar the aluminum part of the trim when sanding. Disassembly MAY be possible but when the rubber gets old it gets inflexible and might actually take something beyond boiling water to soften up.

If you get stuck, I have one that I "de-wrinkled" that I could sell.
P.S. - I may have the red clips for it also.

Ironically, I bought all-new molding for my cars when it was merely expensive and not outrageous like it is now - and then I proceeded to put a tiny door dent in the very piece you are needing - with the OTHER SL.

Thanks for the help everyone. Rockcrusher came through and I got a nice molding for the car and it fits the condition of the others. I am one step closer to having a nice car for next summer.
