Mapping of engine bay

Hello: Trying to find my way around my '72 350 sl engine.

Where is the auxiliary air regulator and the intake air distributor ??

Is there a a book I should get that has the engine bay pictured and labeled?
Or can someone direct me to a section in the MB service manuals that can give an overview of where and what the parts are ??

Thanks

The Haynes manual for the 107's has a decent description of the engine components as does the 107 CD from Mercedes. Also, do sign up for the Meredes EPC at

I could add ALLDATADIY to Mr. Taylor's list. Component location is one of the things they are best at. It requires a subscription but I have found it worthwhile.

Excellent suggestion, but I don't believe that Alldata goes back that far.
