Anolog Phone Removal?

Phil Here, Is there a easy way to take the Phone system out of my 92 500SL with out ripping or damaging the Dash Board? The phone system is no good to me. I tried to make a long distance call today and i never got a " Dial Tone" Ha Ha Please advise. Phil Justice

Not sitting in the drivers seat right now, but I recall using 2 small screwdrivers inserted into the 2 small slots along the bottom edge of the phone trim. There's a spring clip holding it in place. Other than physically removing it, there's 1 or 2 plugs. The handset in the console had 2 screws holding it in and then 2 bolts holding the bracket. Mines a '97 but I think they're the same.

Phone Removal

Thanks hitwtom, That did the trick on the Phone removal, You guys here @ MB. Shop are Grrrrrrrrrreat. Now all I have to resolve is my Broken Rear view Mirror situation so I can take my SL out with out being unembarrassed.
