300SL soft top woes

The soft top on my mom's 1990 300SL needs to be replaced. The seams on the sides of the center rear window are extremely cracked and open. Based on my research it seems that replacing it is necessary at this point. It seems that there are a lot of manufacturers out there. GAHH seems like a sound bet. Can anyone recommend a shop in the washington, DC area that does this type of work. Is this the type of thing that I can knock out on a Sunday? Thanks in advance.

No, it's NOT a Sunday job. I have a thread going on various available soft-tops which might interest you as to choices. If you are going to hire it out, and from your post, I'll assume you will, it might be best to wait and discuss the selection with the chosen fitter.
I finished my first, only, and probably last top install last week. It was hours of research and watching the Robbins video a dozen times, a full 2 days to disassemble the old top and prepare the frame, and 2 1/2 days for the actual installation, including new weatherstripping.
