1979 SLC Wheel Bearing Replacement

I have a 1979 280SLC that needs the right rear wheel bearing replaced. Is there a procedure or DIY available? My search found other models, nothing for the SLC (107).

Patrick

Dude.....this one of those tasks that requires a manual and a couple of special tools. Still a DIY project but requires a little more knowledge than, say, changing sparkplugs.
Honestly...get a maintenance manual. The procedure will be the same as an SL.

I fully agree with maintanance manual and special tools, I believe I am set in that area.

But to have someones previous experience is additional information that can make the task so much more do-able.

Again, anybody out there that has performed the rear wheel bearing change for the SL or SLC (107), please send me your experience. I would be glad to submit a DIY with my bearing change.

Thanks,
Patrick

Suggest a Search. I recall a really good post on this procedure on a 560 within the last couple of years.

Just swap out the entire trailing arm.
