'84 280sl instrument cluster electrical problem
I recently pulled my instrument cluster on my 1984 280 sl Euro. I removed the clock to be repaired and replaced a few bulbs and cleaned it all up. I never removed any wires, etc. When I put the cluster back into the car and hook up all the wires I get one problem: when I use the turn signals the needles of my gauges move in time to the indicator. I have taken the cluster in and out many times to see if there is any short, etc. and have found nothing. Does anyone have a clue to what the cause might be?

You are not getting a good "ground" connection between the cluster and the car frame. There are some posts in the archives about how to add an extra ground wire to solve this issue. You need to use search function.

tecqboy is right, I had the same issue the cluster must fit snuggly and come in contact with the metal housing around it , or you can add a ground strap from the cluster to the metal
