Hey all, though I would share a little excitement:
I haven't posted in quite some time now (about 2-3 years). It has been that long since the idle speed control motor and the tranny started leaking again, and kids, little league, soccer and no money and......well you kind of get it. Sadly, its sat outside since then and I did nothing to help preserve it. It has not run in all that time.
Well the queen of finance (wife) announces that she has a tidy sum saved up because she has been putting extra away in an account for years now, Whooo Hoo. It's there for the Benz!
I called a guy at a local trusted shop who is sending a rollback tommorrow. He is going to start by removing the plugs and soaking it in CRC for a few days and then turning her over by hand, put in a fresh battery and bumping it a few times and then give her shot at starting. Once it's running he will begin to diagnose all the issues needed to get it back into "reasonable" shape. This is not a show car by any stretch and I intend to use it rather frequently.
I will keep you all posted on its rise from the ashes, but for right now I have to come up with a nice suprise for my wife.
