The monovalve is on the passenger side firewall. You should recognize it by both electrical and water connections going into it.

There is no "klima" relay. There is a push-button control unit, a temperature control unit, and a blower control unit.

I knew I should have explained this better ...
... but it was late.
The term "klima" as I understand it refers to the traditional Bosch ice-cube relay that serves many purposes on MB's. I think that the control unit that you replaced was the one for temperature control. And now that I think about it, it does say "klima" on it. My bad.

the unit i replaced was 002-545-18-05 image 1, this was diagnosed to be the source of the compressor clutch not engaging. as for the temperature control unit i believe you are thinking of the earlier models that had a different method of control, all models after model year 1985 my had a klima relay.and also the blower control relay 000-822-11-03 image 2 and the temperature control 000-822-10-03 image 3,

You are correct about the compressor relay. Thanks for the correction. Old dogs learn new trick every day. That part is described as a "Compressor relay." What it probably does is turn the compressor on when it gets a signal from the push button unit and switch it off when the starter is turning.
BUT all 107's from 1982 on also have a temperature control unit 000 822 10 03, and a blower control 000 822 11 03. They are in 83-135 of the EPC and described strangely as "Basic unit." I can personally attest to 10 03, as I had to replace it to get my 560's blower to work.

Blower control relay 000-822-11-03
Hi, anyone knows where is the blower control relay 000-822-11-03
located?. My temp gauge stopped working so did my blower, but my compressor is working fine. Any help will be welcome, thanks. |

i would say check your fuses first, especially the blower strip fuse, it is mounted outside the fuse box, it has its own fuse box with lid, they usually crack from age.

Blower strip fuse
Hi, as the blower unit on my 89 560SL has stopped working, I am interested in your comment as to check the blower strip fuse. I cannot seem to locate it, could you please explain to me a little further as to just where I should look? Thank you.

I had big time intermittent problems with my blower motor this winter on the 380SL, which actually had THREE causes (discovered after checking the fuse in the fusebox, of course);
1. Blower motor bearings iffy 2. Brushes iffy 3. Bad connection from resistor box )connected to blower motor) to chassis connector In the case of (1) and (2), I removed disassembled the blower motor (not trivial to do without breaking something, see posts here for more information). I greased the blower motor bearings as best I could through the cages, and this definitely helped. I cheated and stretched the springs a hair to get a little more life out of the motor brushes until I can get replacements. In the case of (3), I repaired this, but not to my satisfaction, so I'm going to hit this again in April or May when I remove the blower motor, remove a bit of rust and 2-part DTM epoxy primer the area, put a new gasket in, and deal with the brushes. I'd look at all of the above before going into anything electromechanical (relays), especially if the problem is intermittent or got worse slowly. I should mention that a fourth, and bizzare, reason for the blower motor to stop working/be intermittent is the electrical part of the ignition switch, which happened on my 560SL. Jiggle the key.

Blower failure.
Thanks Strife for your detailed response. It looks like I will have to do more investigating other than a possible blown fuse. Cheers .
