Does anyone one know what the small flat connector is on an 81 380sl. It has two wires on it, black and brown I believe they are both inside one black sleeve . It is located on the passenger side under the hood right at the firewall. One side plugs into a small box right behind the larger box where all the colored vacuum lines are. The other side is not connected to anything and I was wondering if this is a problem. The car runs so its not something that is keeping it off the road, but I would like to know what it is and where it connects to on the other side so I can connect it properly. I hope I described it correctly.
