WUR fuel line leak 380sl

I removed the fuel line on wur today and now it leaks a little fuel.I only removed the larger of the two lines.I did this to clean out the filter screens in the line.Apparently the copper washer is not sealing the connection properly. This washer is either not reusable or needs to be much tighter.By the way I could'nt get the screen to come out without distortion so I just sprayed it with WD40.Got a new washer from a shop in Madison Wi and will reseal later.Just wanted to point out this safety issue. How safe is cracking injector lines?

The copper washer is never reusable. Don't overtighten! Be careful not to strip anything! Don't know about the injectors, there may be an article on the internet (sonewhere) about removing and cleaning them. Ned

You need to remove the screen and clean the inner layers to do any good. Use a fine pick and you can fish it out. You can straighten out any bends. If you get small holes, you can put the layers back so the holes are in different places.

Just removed the filter screens and found them to be very clean afterall.I'am in the process of putting the fuel line back on the wur.You guessed it,now it's leaking.I tryed putting on a new washer but still leaks.Maybe I could seal the threads with thread locker or coat the washer with a sealer or heat the washer with a torch.

After tigtening the line again I find it leaking at the flared fitting at the wur.Looks like the flared fitting does't seat like it's meant to.I'am going to remove the line alltogether. Might be hard to find a new line.I wont know if it's any good till I take it off. All this time I thought the washer wasn't sealing ,live and learn.

I cleaned the screens after fishing them out with dental picks, even cleaned my teeth in the process.I then installed a new fuel line and a new copper washer. She is good to go and I haven't seen any leaks after running 15 minutes. I noticed something in the repair manual;it mentions the warmup fuel line with something called a "tecalan line".Do any of you know what tecalan means? I think it means something ,as the line has an orfice at each end.How come the orfice?

It's a high-strength polyamide tubing, and I think that this is used as sort of a "pressure dampener" for the WUR, so that pulses from the fuel pump, etc don't damage the diaphragm in the regulator.

Supposedly, this stuff is strong enough to make brake lines with.
