Add my R107 280SL 5 spd (1983). While not rare is certainly not common here in USA. Its a blast to drive, put it in 5th and its got legs

420SL
I have a 1986 420SL in Texas. There were a totla of 2148 420's manufactured between 1985 and 1999. I'm curious if anyone has the breakdown by year?

In the context of the U.S. market 420SL has to be the rarest - couldn't be more than a handful of them in the U.S. The one above is only the second one I've heard about, the first being for sale here in Scottsdale a year of so ago.
