Hi All.1956 190SL

Hi all..new to the forum thought i would say Hi....
Today got a cool gift,1956 merc 190sl in need of some love and attention....(well lets explain ,,had my eye on her for a while and have been given to sort and sell....will get a split on profit.)
...will have to spray and sort a few issues but over all very good nic....now the reason im on is to ask if any body knows of a good sorce for parts and knowledge of corse as will be undertaking the work...
jobs so far
124 spider 1977
alfa sprint 1988 zenda body kit
alfa junior zagato
alfa guilia 105 gt jnior

and now this very pretty Merc....willpost images as i go...have always done this with other cars,mainly alfa,s..hope its as friendly......

Things needed..........

One washer pump.
brake shoes.
orignal flasher 12,2x21,+5

side under belly side crome
fin crome
wheel inserts not hubs/

will snap and leave images as soon as i have.....
Come on peeps were for bits...?have found points , condensor,and a washer pump of the same era but not oem have also got a flasher mod but not oem(least i can mot it)very much in need of brake shoes,,,,,,,

Don't forget the MB Classic center in Cali. They would have EVERYTHING you need for this car.

The cool thing about Mercedes is that they will still stock parts for 50 and 60 year old cars. If they do not have it here they willget it from Germany or make it from the original designs if they have to... This comes in handy for things like trim pieces that are impossible to find.

Matty,

Welcome to the joys and tribulations of trying to get one of these beauties up and operational again. I am in my second year of restoring a early 56 190SL. There are lots of lessons learned; however, Len gave you the best suggestion... Join the International 190SL Group and learn from the best.
