600SL front end

My sisters 1998 600SL had the front end "drop" completely-as if both shocks are gone.

Anyone know if this model year has air ride or some common point of failure for this model?

I am a 126 man so this 600SL is a mystery to me

Any thoughts?

you might would check the front sway bar bracket. sometimes the bracket breakes and the ride height sensor is reeding wrong. the sensor is on the pass. side of the car w/ linkage attached to the sway bar. I hope that is all that is wrong because the valve assembly is verry $$$$. check the fluid level and be sure it is full
