1986 SL300 Value
I am looking at a 86 sl300 Euro model that has 92 K on it. Car is in excellant condition inside and out. All service records for its life. What is this car worth. Need to know if It is a good deal or not. Asking price is $6,999.00. Has matching hard top with it. Garaged all the time and has been in FL the last 12 years. No fade on paint or interior. Car is red with black interior.
Thanks for your help.

It's worth more than that. Most people shine away from the euro models, but most of that "fear" has passed inside the marketplace. Excellent condition in/out, garaged always, and dark interior on a car that couldn't be bought in the US should be worth $10k without much trouble, possibly up to $12k with the right buyer.
That's a swinging deal for that car - get it ispected, make a list of what it needs, then buy it if it checks out.

300 Euro
Hi Moo
I agree - I love my My 88 300SL UK Euro (110k miles) they've got a Great engine and if it's not been tooooooo US'ified it's got better performance than the 380/450 models. If it's a stick shift it'll be worth even more but even an auto (like mine) the Euro box should have the E and S options which I believe the US models don't have ( economy and standard/swift). Cheers Jim

If it has a 5 spd stick it would be a good deal.
