Tires for 1991 300SL

Time to replace the 7 year old Michelin® Pilot® Sport A/S tires and would like to know opinions on the new Michelin® Pilot® Sport A/S Plus and if anyone has purchased them.

What other brand tires are you all using on our R129 in the Midwest?

I feel that wet handling and braking and good traction in light snow are more important to race car type handling.

Get summer tires for the summer and winter tires for the winter.

Goodyear Eagle F1 GsD3 summer
Blizzak winter.

You will be glad.

I really like Bridgestone Potenza 960's.
Picked on basis of Tire Rack data; really quiet, a very good overall tire.
I don't drive it in the snow, however.

I switched from the A/S to the Plus. What a difference. Much quieter and the tread rating is 500.
