FOG LIGHT WOES !!!!
FOG LIGHT WOES
My fog lights won`t work. When I put a new bulb in and turn the fog lams on (Mercedes1985 280 sl) the fuse blows What`s up? mister bill

I took the lens out , disconnected both wires put it a new bulb turned it on and nothing . Looked at the fuse and it was blown.mister bill

As I recall, it's pretty hokey in there, the wiring and insulation is old, certainly there is a short. It isn't very difficult to remove and disassemble to find it.

gotta be a short and my guess is where the wires enter the fog lamp or the turn through the body and or bumper

Fog Lamp Woes:
Thanks for the input. Corrison on left lamp and badly frayed wire on the right lamp . Problem solved ... mister bill
