Euro Headlight Clip

The 81 280SL I just acquired was in a minor accident and broke one of the Euro headlight lenses. The lens should be here tomorrow. Two of the three spring clips that hold the lens on at the top were apparently left at the accident scene.

Anyone have a couple I can buy, beg, borrow or steal?

I know your pain.

Two will hold (ask me how I know) and not leak with a little extra RTV; one...doubt it. If you can find a junk blower motor, the clips that hold the two halves of the plastic together MIGHT work.

Thanks. It just so happens I have a junk blower with clips I will check if they can be adapted and let you know.

Are the clips specific to SL models? Or would other MB Euro headlight kits have the same clips? Do you have a picture of what it looks like?

They are probably specific to the SL Euro headlight but this is it.

PS, Thanks Strife but I couldn't make them work.

They are typical euro clips - I shall search the parts bucket -thinking I kept some of the odd ball parts off the damaged headlight on the SD.

If I picked the correct part, EPC shows it as: A 000 826 39 84
