Installing rear seat belt ... what am I missing here?

The rear seat belt on my 1995 S320 jammed, and so I decided to replace it. I got an OEM part (140 860 0785) direct from MB ... but I can't get the belt to pull out the housing on this new part. Thought maybe the part was defective, got another one, and same thing ... I can't pull the belt to get it to extend from the housing assembly. What am I missing here!?! I tried mounting it to the sidewall, thinking that maybe it needed to be in place to be balanced, but still no luck. There must be some small thing I'm NOT doing. Please help!

Figured it out

Well, I figured it out. I mounted the assembly to the side wall ... you need to be sure that you line up the little tab at the front of the mounting bracket with the space on the assembly. But the belt still didn't pull out of the assembly. I took the other side apart to be sure that I had it all in right. I did. So then I just gave an almighty pull on the belt, and lo and behold, it released from the assembly. And now it's working perfectly. Not sure why it needed that tug to get started, but it did.
