My 81 280 SL 4 speed came very reasonably, simply because most who want a 107 cannot drive a stick shift well, or possibly at all...

That makes the odd car a real bargain, if sorted and what an individual really wants. They are fun to drive, and, look far superior to any relative domestic model. Just my opinion...

I certainly wouldn't swop mine for any autobox car...

Not to further convolute a thread where the original author has already left , but I love my M116 4spd .

And I'll still be waiting when hell freezes over for a late R107 M103 5spd . (There have to be less than 100 in the country )

I've never been a fan of the M110, but I do love the feeling of the R107 chassis with a lighter front end. I honestly believe a twin-turbo M103 R107 5spd could potentially be the best Mercedes that Mercedes never made.

Or maybe my 5'11" is just a tall 5'5" er.

It's tight for me @ 6' 1", even with the seat slammed all the way down.
Good thing the car was meant for my wife and daughters.....

I'm still checking in....but SWMBO definately is talking newer convertible . We looked at a couple of VW Cabrios. I really don't want to get involved in anything I can't fix, but , oh well

Glad you're still here rs899!

I'm 6'0 and the only size problem I've had in my (or any) 107 is that i have to remove the black plastic kick-plate or my feet are always banging into it. Maybe I have abnormally large feet...
