Oil filter cap stuck

Did an oil change. Used synthetic. Im happy. But my oil filter cap is stuck. It IS on the left just in front of the driver side right? I have decent grip but that bad boy will not budge. I bought an oil filter wrench which can slide over the cap which is the same size and shape as an oil filter. Cant get any real leverage to turn it tho.

It DOES go counter clockwise to loosen right? no funky reverse threading? Why wont this come off.

Righty Tigthy / Lefty Loosey

CCW (Counter Clockwise to Loosen)

#47 is the "Cap"
#77 is the Filter Element

That Oil Filter Wrench you acquired...
It is fluted to EXACTLY match the O.F. Cap ?
[Exemplars in pictures #2+3 below]

It should have an "Inset" (in the Center)for you to insert a 3/8 drive extension...

Make SURE you replace appropriate O-Rings! AND use FSM Torque specs!

lol I just saw the title "righty tightey". yes I know this venerable rule of repair. But when something doesnt work as it should and its expensive to repair you have to think and rethink that your not missing something. There are some fixtures which reverse that rule. Its very rare and with my luck it would be this particular oil filter cap which had I asked would not have been cracked in two. Also there is an arrow on top pointing clockwise. The steering fluid cap has two arrows on top pointing both clockwise and counter clockwise. Soo....... better safe then sorry.
