Maybe you're right....but the thread started off as a good news, fun day, day dreamin' kinda thread.

The thread wasn't " Should I apply my brakes whilst at a red light?"

Good Grief.

By whome? I've never heard that in my life. Growing up in South Africa we almost never had automatics and I never, nor usually did anyone else of my acquaintance use the handbrake when at a light. In fact in Durban which was a very hilly city that would have been a major pain as you'd have been constantly trying to co-ordinate between handbrake, clutch and gear shifter. I did it occasionally but it was very uncommon.

Yeah, MK, you need to start coming to our GTGs like Mistress said. We have a great time together and we even take a nice road trip every now and then.

So in SA if a queue of traffic is stopped on a hill everyone rolls back 5 feet before pulling away?

I'll be at your next one. To help y'all recognize me, since the blue flash moves too fast to be seen by the human eye, here's what I look like ...

(Please note for the record that this is not really me and that I had nothing whatsoever to do with the creation of this very funny video).

I'm close enough to your area. See if the 94 129 SL600 can keep up with the 86 107 SL600.
