Fainted Paint??
A local seller described their 450SL as follows:
Mercedes 450 SL from 1974 for sale. The engine was rebuilt in 2004 ; new front brakes were put in, the soft top was redone, as well as putting in new speakers. The car has been garaged for the last couple of years. The car has 110k mileage on it. The paint color (as you can see on the pics) has fainted. I'm not sure I've ever seen fainted paint? Would this be a color so terrible you would just drop at the sight of it...??? |

That one made my day!
Maybe it was painted by the Munsters?
