Leaky Fuel Return Line
I recently took the fuel distributor off of my 1976 450SL for inspection and cleaning. After I re-installed it, the fuel return line is leaking at the compression site at the FD. I have made sure that it is properly seated, and I have put pipe thread on the threads to no avail. Any ideas on this one? Perhaps a new line is in order, however, the old one looks perfect. I just can't understand why it's leaking. Any help will be appreciated and thanks!

Did you use a new crush washer? Never use thread seal on the FD.

X2 The crush washer is the only seal on this fitting. Thread seal can dissolve in the fuel and cause issues in the filters.
