This will be an interesting ebay auction to watch

This one will be interesting, I actually think Pearl looks better. This is a nice car, but mine has manual windows, I thought the power was not an option in early models of 1972

Same here and mine is 2592. Delivered April 1972. But I have heard that the very early ones delivered to USA did have wind up windows.

It's great to see that number of bids. My car has higher mileage, but otherwise in comparable condition.

Roy Spencer of Our SL .com (located just south of San Francisco)had a 4 speed model in similar condition for 9K on craigslist a month or two back
Not sure if he sold it or not at that price.
The fact that someone actually spent 45K sounds fishy unless they are accounting for all maintenance since new.
As much as I love my 74,if I had 10K$ to spend,I'd probably look at either a 560SL or maybe even an early 90's 300 or 500SL(129 chassis)
A charity in the San Jose area had a running 560SL for 4K someone had donated. Was gone in 1-2 days!

Looks like a nice car. Nice to see these older models getting good numbers.

Here is a high mileage one in Dallas. Seller is a bit mistaken in his description but might sell it reasonably.

What a beautiful period example. That blue paint looks wonderful. If it had Euro lights and a 4 speed box it would be very close to perfect...

I guess the car did not sell. Seller quoted nada values which appear to be out of touch with current market prices.
