Engine Camshaft magnets - leaking?
So I am getting ready to make a run at my first big repairs on my new SL. I was told (and saw) the camshaft magnets are leaking slightly. It looks like an easy replacement or repair.
Is it? Also, do I need to replace or can I repair the magnets if they are leaking oil slightly?

I was curious too so google'd it. Its called a magnet but is a solenoid that shifts the cam timing. Sorry I can't help on the original question but always nice to learn something new.

They are on the front of the engine - really a very simple repair. I was just curious though since they are leaking if you can repair the existing or if you have to buy new.

I noticed a repair kit was available to re-seal them when I did a search, I guess it depends on how much they cost to replace.
