Wink twisting seats

After doing all the essentials on my '86 560 sl I am now doing some of the nonsense that wouldn't bother a normal rational person( I only speak this way after putting a ton of money into the car to get it look presentable and drive well). When I stop the car I feel the driver's seat moves a little,as though it isn't locked in place. It feels like one side is moving giving a twisting feeling when I stop the car. The one mechanic I brought it to a MB expert ($95 an hour labor rate) feels its bushings-maybe, and the job will cost $200-300. Any ideas would be appreciated. I am not going to spend that kind of money on this if I might be able to do it myself.
Thanks all,
Larry

MB issued a service bulletin on this problem in Feb 1989, bulletin number MBNA 91/17.
Also an earlier bulletin from Oct 1983 on excessive play in seat tracks & how to resolve that as well, bulletin 91/25

Question twisting seats

Thanks for the reply. Is there anyway you can tell me what is necessary to correct this as I do not bring my car to a M.B. dealer and my mechanic would not have access to a Tech bulletin.
Thanks
Larry

Try taking seat off the car; turn it upside down and locate the screws (three on each seat track) that tie the seat to the tracks. If these are loose you can feel the seat turn in.
