Flex Discs Question: Front and rear the same?

Are the driveshaft flex discs the same on front and rear for a 380sl? I've checked several different companies (MB, Bilstein, Meyle, URO, etc) with some saying they're the same, while others say they're different.

Any ideas?

It could be chassis number specific. MB has been known to make changes any time during production. They are very precise in recording the chassis number at the time of change and and exceptions.

MB would be the best source for the information. Have you tried the EPC?

My MB dealership said the front and rear was the same, but other companies have different parts for front and rear for my '81.

The dealership was pretty vague about the details. They first said there was only a front disc, but when I told them mine had a rear, they checked and said if it had a rear it would be the same. I asked who the parts were made by; they said one of their suppliers.

I'll check the EPC. Thanks Rowdie.

I just looked up in EPC. The part number for the flex disc is 126 410 04 15. It is the same for front and back. It is also confirmed in autohauzAZ.com.

I found two different part numbers on the EPC, 126 410 04 15 and 126 410 02 15

One vendor told me the only difference was one had allen head bolts, the other has standard hex. The ones on my car right now are hex, so I'll go with them.

Thanks!
