All 129 Soft Top Lid Latch Pins Not the Same!

I thought I would document this in case someone else tries to do it. I recently bought some pieces for my SL500 off a wrecked car. One of them was the soft top compartment lid. Mine was scratched and had a tear in the fabric. The lid is easy to change - three nuts on each side. But the new lid would not close - the left side pin would not go into the latch. It was like 90 degrees off. I had to swap the pin from the old lid to get it to work.

I looked in the EPC and there was a change in 1996, no "from/to" serial number given.
