Boy, as a hobby, I'd love to have a used car lot that specialized in 107's and other vintage MB's, ideally with a bay, and enough money to buy up a bunch of those clean Western and Southern cars you see on Ebay all the time.

I think there;s a lot of people out there who always wanted one, and would buy one if it they saw it, especially in the spring with the top down.

I really think mine is worth 12 -14K, and I mean really, it has no flaws,and is as close to perfect as it can get, it was concours shown ect , ect, My guess is in the real world ( which I dont live in when I am in or around the car ) I would be lucky to get 6K
And that is the reason I do not pursue its sale. The word is out there in varrious circles, someday perhaps I will get a call,....but I am not holding my breath- lol..

This was a very impressive car that I saw last weekend, and it sold for a very impressive price. I wouldn't have thought it to bring half that.

well 3 more calls on it ,people showed interest in it ,2 said they where coming up,but never called back for address ?

maybe i got it listed to low ? if dont sell in the next 10 days ,I will wait a month then list it at 7500. or 10,500 ?

i told them nothing is wrong with the car, needs a softtop
can drive it anywhere like it is with no problems,even a 30 day warr.

I had more calls from A/H's trying to sell the car for me than people calling about the car .

just to many calls from people say i'll call you rigth back and never do.or people that talk to you for 30 mins. then ask you if you want to trade a boat motor for it ..i dont need no dam boat or motor .
what is wrong with people..still getting calls from ''people saying they can sell my car for my , for a small fee..it says in my ad....ATTN, NO CALLS FROM PEOPLE ,SAYING THEY CAN SELL MY CAR FOR ME . and they still do with a rude awaking form me.

NO ONE HAS YET CAME TO SEE THE CAR .after 10 calls. i think they just dont have the cash right at hand.?

if not why call ?

if i want something , and see an ad. i just go with my cash and see the car . i dont ask 40 questions. you got to see whats for sale .

I'm telling you man, putting an ad on CL for a 30+/- year old MB is painful unless you're asking for a few hundred bucks or it's an oil burner. There are a lot of tire kickers there that don't have a penny to their name but will ask a bunch of questions and request a bunch of pictures with no intention to buy.

Try ebay, you can list it for a week and it will get a huge audience, if it doesn't sell, then you'll know that you're pricing it too high.

I think that is good advice, you would be surprised how many of the calls are people wondering why thiers is not selling and checking out the competion
I have yet to use ebay for a car sale but I think the audience is a big plus
