560sl wiring diagram

my 1987 560sl has an aftermarket alarm that appears to be stopping the car from starting.
does anyone have a wiring diagram for my car so i can trouble shoot the problem?

thanks

danny

Re your aftermarket alarm.
All things considered you might go to a alarm installer that is familiar with that particular brand of alarm. Some have kill switches that once the battery has been disconnected have to go through a particular procedure to reset the brain. it's best not to go around disconnecting wires.

jack,

that makes sense. i think i'll do that.

if anyones got one i'd still like a wiring diagram to trouble shoot a couple of other problems, such as a non working engine temp gauge and gas tank that reads half full when empty.

thanks for the quick response!

Attach a ground wire to the back of the instrument cluster, it usually fixes erratic guages.

petesmga,

i got my mechanic to reground the cluster, he made a temp connector and informed me that the problem was fixed. of course now we're looking to button up the cluster neither he nor i can replicate that fix.

Here's an online copy of the MB 107 service manual. It includes wiring diagrams for all the models.
